Game cards based on the actual Lego Creationary game. Colours or coloured images to be stuck onto a 6 sided die. Roll the die to choose a category, pick up a game card and turn the timer to create your model. Other players to guess what your model is. x2 is double points if the model is guessed correctly. ? means the player can choose any of the images on their card. Each time a model is guessed correctly, you get a piece of your favourite colour Lego. Winner is the first to build a tower of 10 pieces.

An emergent reading book designed for children learning consonant and vowel digraphs and trigraphs. Allows children to practise high frequency and tricky words. Includes information on most common superheroes: Spiderman, Superman, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America, Wonder Woman, Thor, The Hulk, Batman and Robin.

Topic word cards created to be used in group discussion or a story sack activity, so children can read the words and learn how to write/spell them. Designed to go alongside a topic on Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper. Features pumpkin and squash images and well as the animal characters and cooking utensils used. Based on my shared writing activity, I have made a zigzag style book. Created in Publisher on an A3 format, the page can be folded (and glued) in half horizontally and then folded to make the zigzags. Children can complete the missing words and draw a picture of their animal. They can then stick a post-it note over the picture or draw a picture of a box and sellotape it over the top to make the flap. Would be interesting to have flaps opening from different directions or different shapes!

Pet cards and skin texture boards. Children to sort the cards onto the correct board, depending on which skin type they have. Can provoke discussion around why animals have certain skins (temperature regulation, protection, sensory needs). Could also introduce camouflage.

A sorting game designed to discuss foods that are suitable and not suitable for dogs, cats, rabbits and birds. Each child to have an animal board. Food cards to be laminated and cut; placed face down in a pile. Children to take it in turn to pick up a food card and decide whether it is safe for their animal to eat. If so, place on the tick column. If they are aware that the food is not safe, place on the cross column. If the food is not applicable for that animal, place the card back down on the bottom of the pile.

Board game designed to celebrate the 2012 Olympic games. Start at the Wenlock mascot and travel around. When you land on a medal space, get that coloured Olympic ring. Can move between rings using the 2012 logo space. Winner is the person that has collected all five coloured rings and raced to the Mandeville mascot to end. Hope you enjoy playing. A board game designed to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. Game board to be enlarged to A3. Children to roll a dice and each time they land on a square, pick up a Royal family card. If they land on a crown card, take a Queen card. Queen cards encourage children to take or give away money. To start with 5p in pennies. The winner is the person who ends up with all of the Royal family on their game card. If able, children to then add up how much money they have accrued. Could even extend by asking children to change their coins for the lowest equivalent coins.
